BARBARA DE SIENA
An international journey full of experience and savoir-faire
Barbara de Siena, of Italian origin, moved to Paris as a teenager, lived the culture and adopted the French and international mentality of the Ville Lumière. She studied in Paris and learned French and English.
Nationalities, religions and distinct ethnic groups lay the first foundations for the internationalization work that will trace his entire professional history.
Very young, she began her career as a hostess and translator. Communication becomes her profession: she works in an agency that deals with sponsorships for major brands, such as concentrated milk Nestlé and Grana Padano (sponsor products of the Italian national gymnastics and mountain bikes) assisting the manager of the events in the organization and in personnel management.
Since 1993 Barbara has been involved in promoting some companies in the graphic arts sector, consolidating significant experiences in customer management and working with the major world advertising agencies present in Milan.
A few years later she sets up an international commercial office in Paris for five companies in the publishing sector (paper converting, rotary, flat, direct-marketing, shopper, gadget).
In 2005 she began working for other product sectors as well, extending his direct experience to other types of products and promoting companies in Italy and France with the IncontriGusto and IncontriModa projects.
In 2014 the adventure of the UP2gether project begins and in 2020 Barbara de Siena, as Founder and CEO, opens UP2gether International Srl based in Brussels.
I still have lunch with Barbara after 20 years. Thanks to that time that he printed my catalog with the press times with flat machines, helping me because otherwise I would have lost the customer.
I leave Milan for Guinea Bissau where the next day I have an appointment with the Prime Minister's brother. My suitcase is lost. I run to find something to wear for this important appointment. I find shirt, pants and shoes. What a fright!
In Naples with a group of 40 French buyers from the pret-à-porter sector during Carnival we all go down to admire the beauty of the Gulf of Naples and Vesuvius. Suddenly a fresh egg ends up on my head ... a moment of customer panic but I use it as a mask and with a general laugh I collect my hair.
